This course has been wonderful to me, as an eye-opener and a simple way to understand the essential teachings and advice of the Lord through the Bhagavad Gita. To be frank, I have tried many times by picking up various editions and copies of the Gita, but have never really made much headway (my Father was an enthusiastic exponent and lectured often on the Gita, as does my mother).
ISKCON at New York first opened my eyes, allowing me to de-link Religion from Spirituality even as I took Bhagavatam classes there and spent some time in the company of the devoted monks.
Bottom-line, the interest has always been there but it was more of an intellectual nature defined by curiosity rather than an act of devotion. I am very much now an “aware” person and hope to improve my knowledge, get many questions answered, and hopefully begin to more fully address my duties not just to the material world but also very importantly toward the spiritual world.
