Anna Daan

In Mahabharata, Yudhishthira Maharaj enquired: "What gift will reward in this world and in the next?" Bhismadev answered: "There has never been, nor will there ever be, any gift equal to the gift of food.”-Anusasana Parva 13.63.3-6

Aarati Seva

“If someone sees the face of the Lord while ārati is going on, he can be relieved of all sinful reactions coming from many, many thousands and millions of years past. He is even excused from the killing of a brāhmaṇa or similar prohibited activities.” –Skanda Purana

After each food offering, a pujari (initiated priest) offers an arati ceremony in full view of the devotees who sing in kirtan. The arati ceremony involves offering the Lord different pleasing items of worship and honour such as incense, ghee-wick lamps, water, cloth, scented flowers, chamara (yak-tail) and a peacock fan. Worship the Lord by sponsoring the arati seva where all seven arati of the day would be offered in your name with a special prayer for you and your family.
